Simplest way I've found:
select ll_name, filespace_name, date(backup_date) from backups where
node_name='ORACLENODENAME'
Then get your Oracle person to pull a list of the Oracle "pieces" from the RMAN
catalog, you can match up the names and dates to the ll_names from this query.

What should we check? We checked permissions of the service as Richard
suggested, but it is set to "local system" - the default.
FWIW, this was working - last entry in the dsmerror.log is 07/11/2011 -
user says "nothing has changed" other than the private IP address it uses.

Hi Zoltan,
I certainly would not expect a snapshotted backup to have issues with open
files (that is what TSM's Open File Support is supposed to address).
If you do not use the CAD to manage the scheduler, did you restart the
scheduler after making the dsm.opt file change?

file. I have to get the messages from the server actlog.
