Hi Paul
Short answer no. Its all or nothing with copy pools. You can keep just
the last version of each file with an active pool, but you should have a
copy pool as well just in case your primary pool goes bad. You could
send the active pool offsite and keep the copy pool onsite. What are

Our primary tape backup pool is set to keep 5 versions of each file. Each
morning the overnight incremental backups into this storage pool are copied
into the copypool and then these tapes are sent offsite. Is there anyway to
setup the copypool so that it only has the last 2 versions of each fil
Hi Gary,
in v6 expiration puts a row in the summary table for every node, plus a
summary
row for the whole process. Here is output from a script which displays
rows from summary.
As you can see, some of the elapsed times are 0 -

Gary,
The ANR0162W message does include an SQL message, so you can use the DB2
SQL reference info to look it up for a detailed explanation. Here is a link

Just a guess, but see if end_time = start_time. That would cause a divide by
zero situation.

This has to be a marketing effort in order to push the SONAS product. I

We made the move from VTL to DD VTL by moving the tapes in order of oldest to
newest. The theory being that all of those notepad copies that are 5 years old
could be on the same tape and it should reduce reclaims.
Out of curiosity, how big are you making you files on the DD?

Hi everyone,
We will be shortly be helping with a DataDomain (DD)
installation, and we are looking for how best to move
the primary pool from the old tape pool to the DD.
The DD will be used as a NAS device via a file type pool.
Currently, there is the normal DISK->TAPE hierarchy
of primary pools
