Hello Michael,
Thanks for solution but amount of data and files is not very small, so
exporting data will be very take a lot of time and in fact i will have to do
it two times.
So , if any one can tell me a shorter path to do it?

Ah I see.. If so then either..
1. Restore and backup (which would limit you to active (latest)
versions of everything)
2. Fire up another TSM instance somewhere (even on the same machine).
Export your NODEA file spaces to there. Rename NODEA to NODEB on the
new server instance. And EXPORT NODEB bac
But Node B is already existing on TSM servers? Is it possible to rename a
node to a name already existing? The data is manufacturing data and hence
very criticalso i cant test too much

How about simply renaming the NODE A to NODE B?

Hello All,
I have two nodes on a TSM server , NODA A and NODE B. I want to move all
data belonging to NODE A to NODE B and once NODE B owns all the data of NODE
A , i want to delete NODE A from TSM server. The name of filespaces of NODE
A and NODE B are same. Is there any way i can do it? My TSM
Just another remark:
Complex environments with many stgpools were solved by doing collocation
by group.
Why is it not possible to do a backup stgpool using this collocgroups?

That sounds like a good work around Ullrich.
I will implement jbb on all my OS type backup clients.

Hi Adrian,
installing a second TSM server instance on the same machine will solve
your problem as long as the machine itself is not cause of that. Have you
already checked the usage of cpu, memory, disks, network, and the tape
storage devices? You will need more CPU power and at least 25% more
You are quite right Steven. It is still the same amount of data.
I have now noticed that my (2 x 1.5 TB each) SAN DISKPOOL is taking forever to
migrate to copy pool offsite each day.
Seems to get slower and slower.
Any ideas as to why this might be?
All my resources are working optimally, as are
Hello
Whilst splitting your server may help with some stuff like inventory
expiration etc because of the smaller DB size. I can't see it reducing
your offsite copy time. The same amount of data needs to be copied
doesn't it. Are you able to optimise this any?
Thanks
Steven
