Thanks so much for all the responses. I'd like to reply to just a few
responses for clarification.

Hi,
I am facing problem with client scheduling. Please let me know the reason. I
am using TSM 5.5 version server and client.

Thanks for the information.
But My idea is just to change the mode of recovery log to roll forward for
point- in-time recovery in terms of database corruption situation only.
And I will do my dbbackup's and extending of db and log will be manual, not
automation.
As you said I run daily incrementa
It would be that more pratical if you could just update your diskpool
with something like "upd stg XX cache=yes activestorage=yes", leaving
just cached copies of the active version on disk.

With TSM, it doesn't really make sense to make two copies of a tape, since
things are managed at the object level. Copy Pools are used instead.

it depends on your tsm server environment, but backup of lets say 4 to 5

Yes, you can. As soon as you do, TSM will want to do a full DB Backup
so if you have a dbbackup trigger setup, it'll use that. Otherwise, run
one manually, and then MAKE SURE to set a backup trigger so that if your

After running the command in the previous message to change the log
mode, you should run a full database backup so that the change will take
effect completely.
If you change to roll forward mode, it's probably a good idea to also
define a DBBACKUPTRIGGER (DEFine DBBackuptrigger), as Bad Things ma

Hi,
Can I change recovery log mode from normal to roll forward?
Are there any dependencies in doing this?
