I looked at the 5.4 doc, and the
"You can only specify this parameter if you have specified the
TOSERVER parameter."
line is not there. Weird.

The help for IMPORT NODE on my 5.5 Linux server has one line between
'the default is NO.' and 'Valid values...':

Hi Eric,
What you need to do then is to restore all data offline.
What I'm suggest then is to use our software TBMR then do you got everything
already build.
If you are going to similar hardware you can always use ASR in Windows Server
2003.

Hi Howard!
This is not an option, because then you would end-up with two Windows
boxes with the same machine name on the network and, as far as I know,
that's not allowed within a domain.
And shutting down or renaming the original server is not an option too

Hi Christian!
In fact, the user wants to duplicate a production server (SERVER-A), so he
wants SERVER-B to be an exact copy of SERVER-A after the restore. So, we would
like to restore the file level data and all other objects (like the registry
etc.) too.
Kindest regards,

Hi Loon,
Can you please explain more what you try to restore.
You can restore another nodes data if you want to. What kind of data do you
want to restore?

You can't restore systemstate to another node, from my understanding.
The best way to do this (if you can) is to rename the node you want to
do the restore on to match that of the original box. Then you can
restore everything, and when you're done you can rename it back. Just
make sure not to do

Hi *SM-ers!
One of my customers is trying to restore a complete node (lets say
NODE-A) to a new node (lets say NODE-B) .
We tried both the VIRTUALNODENAME parameter and the "access another
nodes data" method, but we are running into the same problem.

Greetings,
Perhaps my suggestion is too outside the box, but why would an older
Win2k box NEED to be Lan-free? In most cases I have found that a Win2K box
can't push the data fast enough to saturate a 1Gb Ethernet link anyway, and
usually not even a fraction of that. If they have a lot
Richard, I'm seeing this quite a bit as well. I removed the
"resourceutilization" parameter altogether, and get this message on some
of my nodes.
So, if you find a fix, let us know. The interesting thing is we're not
seeing it on all our AIX nodes. I'm going to have to research to see if

Your original email included "Win2003 clients".
If you are now discounting their participation and focusing on only
the AIX client sessions, then it's possible that they are using ACLs
(particularly for GPFS), where DIRMc considerations could be a factor.
In any case, why leave this a mystery when
