The online help within the 3494 library manager (OS/2) console has a
full list of predefined and reserved categories and category ranges.
Under the Help menu, select "Help Index", then "category, volume".

I have a user here who is asking if it is possible to backup (and
restore) a Microsoft SharePoint server *without* using the new TSM
for SharePoint product. Anyone doing this, or know the answer? Or
know what the value-add would be to using the TSM for SharePoint product?
Thanks.

We were told from a sales rep, and from what I assume after reading
IBM's very helpful information on licensing, that NDMP licenses have
been replaced with TSM "Extended Edition" licenses. Can anyone confirm
this before we might purchase something we don't need?
Thanks,

I was seeing the same EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION error with the TSM
client and scheduler. In our case we updated to a newer version of
the client, and the problem went away.
I suspect that one of the service packs, or third party security apps
applied to the box tightened down some aspects of int
Here is a list of the known categories. It is likely that 0080 has been
set by another process, like a TSM server.
Categories are in HEX, so 0080 would be "50" decimal. Do you have a TSM
server private or scratch category set to 50?

I know this is a little off subject, but does anyone have a list of 3494
categories? We have a bunch of tapes that are category 0080 and we are
not sure why.

I believe that the client GUI's Find File in the Restore section

Hi Andy,
Thank you very much for your help, but the problem didn't
appear in the last week; if the error
comes again, i'll call IBM support.

Hi Jacquelin,
Off-hand I do not know why these are being issues.
When I suggested an unfiltered query, I meant just a QUERY ACTLOG without
filtering on session number, node name, etc., in case there were any other

At this point, I suggest you op
If your are not in hurry...
What is the total size of your pool ? Up to 6 TB for your problematic node, but
how many from other nodes ?
Since you are ready to transfert 6Tb :
1- Create a sequential pool
2- migrate from disk to newly created sequential pool
3- move nodedata from this sequential po

simply update that node´s backup storage groups to point to the new sequential

and have the your6TB in the old random pool expired with the time.
