Hi everyone,
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
I have 4 TDP Exchange client nodes needs that are currently
backing up directly to tape. Our data outgrew our disk pool so we had to
point these directly to tape. Someone in our team wants to split these

Hello Everyone,
Thanks in advance for your assistance!!
We have been experiencing quite a few ANS1017E errors "TCP/IP
connection failure". We have involved TSM support to no solution and
some changes have been suggested to fix this here. We have checked the

It's been my experience that PST file are generally open during a backup

This would result in what's known as "fuzzy" backups where the files not

With 8738 file being skipped, most likely the drive wasn't empty to

On the other hand, there IS actually a case where you can get duplicate
files created with Windows long file names (it's a Windows issue, not a

I recall having the same problem early this year when we started using

Yes, you can restore to an alternate location that is also a different

Hello,

We are migrateing our copypool from cartridge to a DS4800.

My assumptions ( on AIX) are:
-I create logical volumes and file systems
-Define the device class
-TSM then creates the files in the filesystem

We have an office that has used Iron Mountain (they have an Internet
service as well as the traditional tape storage vaulting).
I didn't work with them personally, but AFAIK they were happy with it.

Know of anyone using a vaulting service with transmissions over the
Internet with TSM? We're at capacity and looking for options.

Refer to the TSM API manual for the error codes list.
This one suggests that you have a faulty or incomplete options file,
