You would need to keep the computer logged in with a Netware user that
has rights to what you want to back up. If UserA has the rights, is
logged into the netware server, and has a drive mapped to your data, you
should be able to tell TSM to backup H:\ , G:\ , or whatever drive it
is.

I remember in the past we tried something like this and we had problems with windows

We're in the process of replacing the LTO1 drives with LTO2 drives in our 3583

our TSM system was setup, we were using the normal length tape labels (for example,

I am going through all of the options/parameters for new TSM servers and I

Hi folks,
In working on our (novell) cluster we had to rename our DSMCAD.NLM's
because of
a unloading of instances problem. (see below info I got off the IBM
site)
Yes, this can be prevented if there are multiple copies, each with a
different name, of the DSMC.NLM and/or DSMCAD.NLM.

Hi *SM-ers!
My TSM 5.1.9 server on AIX 4.3.3 stops listening at port 1500 every now and
then. Existing sessions can finish their work and existing admin sessions
are responding too, new sessions are not possible, they result in a TCP/IP
connection failure. A telnet to port 1500 is not possible too,
Because you don't want just anybody to be able to point their browser to
your machine and start some TSM operation.

Andy

Hi,
I have an IBM 3582 with two fiber connected LTO2 drives and I use both LTO1 and LTO2

course, the first LTO2 tape will be marked full, once the write continues on the 2nd

Hello List :)
I've got a problem concerning the TSM-Server of one of our customers:
I've updated said TSM-Server from AIX 4.3.3 to 5.2 ML3 (64-bit Kernel) and
TSM from 4.1.x to 5.2.2 (64bit) (with a step on 5.1.9.0 and CLEANUP

Hallo.
We use rman and TDPO(5.1.5) to backup our Oracle 9.2.0.3.
The obsolete files will not be deleted in the TSM Server.
So I want to run tdposync syncdb, but there is the message
ANU2531E Could not create file for TDPO utility
I run it as root or oracle use. So I have all permissions and there

Hi All,
Has anyone seen this behaviour before?
Archiving on LTO2 (in an IBM 3584) and when the tape is full a second tape
is assigned an the last file of the archive is written on that tape. Right
after that the tape gets the status full, nevertheless that there is only
around 15GB of data on it.

It's work fine but my question is from this restore I
Dear All,
Do we require TDP for NDMP to access NAS Tape library?
Scenario is,
1- TSM server has storage pool on NAS (I presume no TDP for NDMP required)
2- TSM Server will migrate data to Tape Library or drives attached to NAS.
(Here do we need TDP for NDMP?)
3- TDP for Lotus Domino is used to ba
