Hello all MVS TSM users! The TSM server is on os/390 2.10 and the DASD being used would be HDS MOD 9's. Right now we have all of our disk storage pools on MOD 3's, but would like to move it to MOD 9's. Does anyone know if it is possible to use VSAM extended which would allow the VSAM to be great

We have exactly the same problem. Started happening when we started rolling out SP3. An SP3 machine will back up OK for a while, then inexplicably refused to back up the system files component of system objects. Upgraded to 5.1.6.2, that fixes the problem for us. -Original Message- Fro

Hi ! I have a problem with some of my clients. Lately, some of them are unable to backup the systemobject ! When doing a manual backup, I find out that it is the system files that cause the application to die. (It doesn't hang, it just terminates and disappears !) When running as a Scheduler serv

I'm currently going thru this process and the only way I have found to reclaim the old non-collated tapes is to do a "del vol discarddata=yes" to remove the unwanted data followed by a "backup stg primarypool copypool" to re-backup the data that is not being moved to a new stgpool.
