now it uses an ADVFS mount within the Tru64 cluster.

You need to have disk space you can use on the system first. Then you need
to format some dbvolumes, define them into TSM and then extend the database.
Outside of TSM do: dsmfmt -db -m /path/filename.db ### (Where ### is size
in MB)
In TSM do: define dbvolume /path/filename.db

You can backup the SYSTEMOBJECT using a specific management class to only retain a few
active copies, we went from 160 to 10, has helped quite a bit. You can search on

perhaps the allready running process (migration, reclamation, backup stg,
etc)
is reading and writing a very big file. I think the process will not be
stoped
befor the current file is finished. In such cases we help TSM to stop the
current process making its input/output volumes unavailble
Is the restore and the migration use the same devclass. The restore
operation will only pre-empt a process / session with the same devclass as
it is assigned
