Thomas,
The best you can do is use the move media command to select tapes that are of an
appropriate age and move these out of the library.
Look at the documentation for move media in the Admin reference to see if it meets
your needs.

Hi Tsm'ers,
My TSM Servers are AIX 5.2.1 We recently upgraded our TSM servers from 5.1 to

They do however restart and my process continues with
Nicolas,
I just realized you have HP LTO drives not SDLT. However, they both have
the same problem with the labeling wizard.

Unfortunately, the label wizard currently doesn't work with SDLT drives.
This should be fixed in the next PTF 5.1.8 and 5.2.1.
You can use the LABEL LIBVOL command instead to label volumes with or
without barcodes. Try
LABEl LIBVol SEARCH=Yes LABELSource=Barcode
CHECKIN=SCRatch

Hi List !
We have defined an Storage Pool with "VERDeleted=Nolimit"
Now I want to move files older than X months to an offsite
Storage Pool. The newer files should stay on Volumes in the

Is that possible ? How can I do that ?

Does anyone know if there is an APAR for this problem?
I can't find one in the APAR database and 5.2.0.2
seems to be the latest patch level for Windows.

Let us start with the definition of terms.
I find, the usage of the word "*REAL*" will often be misunderstood,
because there are different opinions about the meaning of this term.
Many will name the command-line interface the *real* thin
