Hello
Can anyone explain exactly which management class is used for archived
directories, and whether this is stable or liable to be rebound?
The more I read, the more confused I become. I'm looking at

The standard method is to submit product requirements in general

Hi All,
Do you have informations about the new Magstar Drive
called 3592 ??
thanks for your help
I have had the same error with our TSM environment.
The PLM is AIX. And we have 5 * W2K library clients connected to a LTO.
The problem was that when RSM was enabled they were all picking up the
Library changer, which therefore stopped any tapes being mounted. The
solution was to disable the RSM
I'd like to see a feature where you can delete filesystems by particular
copypools.

A colleague of mine has done this about three years ago, moving from
AIX 4.3.3 to Solaris 2.7... if I'm remembering correctly, it was via
a DB backup-restore to flat file, with TSM 4.1.5.x.
I don't believe there were any hassles, apart from having to do some
performance tuning post migration. The A

I just tried CRCD on my dual PII/2GHz, NT, Raid-5, LTO-1.
Almost unmeasurable performance impact, neither on disks nor on tapes.

Hi John
It works (on AIX anyway), you just need to take extra special care that your
DSMI environment variables are set correctly
eg
DSMI_CONFIG=/usr/tivoli/tsm/client/api/bin64/dsm.opt
DSMI_LOG=/db2/GD1/errors
DSMI_DIR=/usr/tivoli/tsm/client/api/bin64
You also need to check the soft link to ds
Not quite. Copy pools are normally not colocated...so are not clones of
storage pools.

We recently aquired an Overland Storage Neo 4100, with 2 X LTO2 drives
(200-400GB cap.) with tape capacity of 60. It is so nice and sweet. The
LCD display even had a small problem and they came out and fixed it in
less than 24 hours. I'm so happy.

Hi Geetha,
TSM scheduler on linux should be started as a service, and the better
way to achieve this is to build a little script that would be placed in
the inittab, so that when the system boots the service is started. I
attached the script we're using to this mail, feel free to use it !

What type of data is in the file? Are you using client compression? Could
be worth a try if you are not.

All the major tape vendors seem to be in the TB race.
As for IBM, see older background info:

Hello all
Is anyone who uses CRCDATA on tape pools willing to share their experiences
with us?
I'm looking at using it to improve data integrity, by periodically running
AUDIT VOL on a random selection of volumes. I have some thoughts, but
nothing beats real experience:
