Hi the reason for our "flipped bit" problem is a tape-drive-unit (9940A from STK). i think it change bits before it write the stream to the tape, and this after the crc-tests. so we get no i/o error messages from the device. we taking the divce offline and find no more new failures. Helge

I know of at least one large customer who is successfully using Journal Based Backup in a SAN cluster environment. The ReadDirectoryChangesW api works with any local (non network) disk and will work with network drives but the Journal Daemon blocks specifying network drives because the API limits
