Hi all,
For the past few weeks I have noticed ANS1076E error messages in both the
dsmerror and dsmsched logs. This node has been backing up successfully for
years without out problems until now. I've looked for directories that

Once you specify exclude.dir, it overrides all include statements to that
directory.
Only use exclude.dir if you do not want to back anything up.
You could use :

Exclude.Dir or Include.Dir statements are read first, regardless of their position in
the list. So effectively, you are excluding this whole directory. You might try the
following...
EXCLUDE "c:\admin\ntreskit\...\*"
INCLUDE "c:\admin\ntreskit\perftool\probe\...\*"
By using probe\*.* you wil
Exclude.Dir "C:\ADMIN\NTRESKIT\*"

I believe you should have
Exclude "C:\ADMIN\NTRESKIT\...\*"
INCLUDE "C:\ADMIN\NTRESKIT\PERFTOOL\PROBE\*.*"
Try it, let me know.

Ok I have a really puzzling question. I have migdelay=1 also but when I
look at the percent utilized on my disk volumes it shows at 26.90% and
29.20% in each pool and during migration it drops to 6.10% and 7.60%. now
if my diskpools are 30gb each and the amount of migration yesterday was at

Files will be rebound to default copy group.
No idea about directories - they will
be either rebound to default copy group or to DIRMC.

Hi All,
Quick question:
Is it possible to do a cross platform restore? If so, how?
I have some users who wish to restore a backup image of an NT4 server onto a

this could be possible as it is effectively only a binary fil

You need to turn the -quiet option on your dsmc scheduler that runs on the

Given a file that has been backed up by a node, how do I find out which

Look in the log files. On my servers it's dsmsched.log.
Here's a snippet of one of mine.

Is there a server side message other than ANE4971I reporting zero bytes
that would alert to a LanFree node that was not using the LanFree path?
Server is TSM 5.1 running on AIX 5.1.
Rafael,
Thanks a bunch, your suggestion solved my problem.

Hello.
I have a backup copygroup that I wish to delete. What will happen to the

in addition to fine Steve“s reply,

is far from perfect perfect with with monthly backups:
low resolution on time axis.
This means, even if you have monthly backup from august the 1.st,
you do not have any files which changed on on september
