The "Pending" state simply means the reuse-delay is in
effect! That is, after expiration occurs, *all* offsite
tapes go thru the period defined for "re-use delay"...
which is intended to protect from over-writing tapes
that might be needed during the period immediately

I recently installed the TSM 4.2.1.0 client on a couple of our Netware
servers. Seems to work fine, even backup up our NDS which has roughly
80,000 entries. My questions is that all the files being backed up are
reported as having a length of 0 bytes. The NDS files are the only ones

There just has not been a big demand for it. You might consider entering a
requirement, either through your IBM rep or SHARE.
