No, that's not it - my copypool reclaim processes just don't show up at all.

Hi All
My tape naming system is tap001..2..3 etc
My server keeps requesting me to load a tape DBBK.1 RW in the drive.
Having labeled the tapes personally, I know I never labeled one with that
name
Any ideas?

Why can't you do a MOVE DATA from the old storage pool to the new storage pool,
assuming you have colocation on in the old storage pool?

Thanks... I have the domains setup for separate storage pools (357pool's and

Great question. Specifically, I'd like to know how much journal based
backups reduce the millions-of-little-files problem, i.e., TSM client spends
all its time walking a huge directory tree, only to discover that there's
little or nothing to back up.
(Of course, this problem can occur with Unix

Hello,
A year ago we switched from 3490 tapes to 3590E tapes. I have alot of
tapes in a copypool made up of older 3490 tapes. All the local tapes
are 3590E tapes. I moved all the data from local 3490 tapes onto
3590E tapes.
I have been copying the 3590E tapes to a new copypool of 3590E tapes
and
Steve,
There are several approaches to accomplish differing retention requirements
as your customer desires. The first, maybe most obvious is the one you
proposed... multiple TSM clients for each retention req., for example,
NODE, NODE-WEEKLY, NODE-MONTHLY. This of course gobbles up client lice
