Is anyone using a Compaq ESL9198DLX DLT Library with a Windows NT/2000

NT/2000.
One of our NT clients is getting a large number of 'ANE4018E ...: file name

quite long.
Does anybody know the TSM standard on file name lengths?
Can somebody point me to which TSM docs discuss this specifically?

What are the options you are talking about that are no longer supported??

Greetings,
Is there TSM support for Netware clustering? I've not seen any mention
of it on the list and our Distributed Support folks are in the process
of working with Novell to put up a 4 node cluster. The Tivoli web site
refers to the backup/archive client as it relates to Netware 4 and 5 but
The one I can remember off the top of my head is the Fstypes option, it is no longer
supported and if it is in the OPT file, it will cause Dr Watson. I believe we had
another non supported option cause the same problem, but I can't remember it. Sorry.
I would review any OPT file you are goin
Did you use the original OPT file? If so, there are some options that can cause Dr
Watson errors. They are options that are no longer supported by the newer client, we
have experienced this issue also and found this cause.

I was doing that for a while - a copy pool offsite and a copy pool onsite.
But the only reason I was doing that was because our drives/media were

No, you do not need a sperate opt file for each scheduled command. You
simply need to ensure that you scheduled commands that may conflict
with each other, selective and incremental, run at different times.
Starting with version 5.04, Domino provided a means to backup the
active transaction log.
Bill,

Matt,
The way I handled this, on an AIX DB2 system, was simply to add a
management class (which I called DATABASE) with the following copy group
settings - 1,0,0,0. On the client, I added a statement to the inclexcl.txt
file (include/exclude list) as below:
include databasefilesystemDATABAS
Well that doesn't sound anything like what I will want to happen. But I
believe I do understand what you are saying and I had not thought of it.
Each DB backup is its own unique file name and therefore will be processed
as a unique deleted file. What are the 3 or 4 methods out of this?
Matt
