We are now a good 6-7 months into this project. We have 2 RS/6000 servers
with several NOTES servers on each. Each RS/6000 has just under 1 Tb of
data. Our preproduction server is now backing up and logging with TDP. It
has been a long road for our NOTES team but I think it is well worth it. The

Any suggestions on what I need to do, to get past this??
Please note these instructions are for TSM server 3.7.3 Solaris TSM Client

In the LISTSERV subscription confirmation information you received, there
will be instructions for what you want. (You did save it, didn't you? ;-) )
Look for the DIGEST form of the listserv discussion.

Hi Everyone,
As with many tsm sites, we are struggling with Notes backup.
Our environment is that we backup Notes from several large
centralized replication servers, not the actual servers users
interact with. Our Notes servers do NOT use the v5 transaction log

Well, I thought it would give you the tapes it would mount, but obviously I was

Perform the following steps;
1) Istall TSM client on each server as normal.
2) Ensure ALL cluster groups can successfully failover to other nodes.
3) Set up a scheduler service per resource group ( cluster groups / sql
groups eg ). I would recommend you create separate option file & log file.

Phil,
No I have not needed to look at that because all my clients are in collocated
pools and
the large ones are on 9840 cartridges, so the number of tapes per client is
limited.
However I believe you can achieve this via :-
export node ?? filedata=allactive preview=yes

is so valuable. And DLT generally has been report

John,
I am assuming here that the Q_TAPE_VOLS script shows tapes that include both
active and inactive versions. Do you have a version of the script that will
display a list of tapes that contain just the active versions?

Peter,
Here is a script you can run to find out how many tapes your client has data on.
You might not need to mount all of them as some will probably just contain

Hello,
I have been restoring an NT client for about 8 hours now, a bare-metal
restore.
The server is an RS/6000 at ADSM 3.10.
The problem is that it until now only some MBs have been restored and
the client
will need many GBs before it is done ... Looks like this could take
days

Hallo all !
I've the following task that I have to solve:
We will go from OS/390 R8 to OS/390 R10 and within this Upgrade of the
Operating-System
we also go from ADSM 3.1.2.50 to TSM 4.1
My questions are:
- Is there a good book which tells the exact steps for the Migration from V3.x
to V4.1?
Hi John,
according to the manual, tcpclientaddress specifies the TCP/IP address of your
client node and you have to use this option only with the schedule command when
you specify prompted as the schedule mode.
But, this is not my problem ...
Thanks anyway for your help
