You will have to manually change the default capacity in your devclass to 40 GB. We noticed that when we upgraded to the 3.7 server we actually dropped to 10 GB. If you look at the help pages (on 3.7) you will notice that Tivoli thinks the 3590E-C capacity is only 10 GB. Go figure. Ken > -Or

Hi Mahesh, I have also experienced this on older versions of TSM after I had had a 3590 serviced in the 3494. One way I found to get aroung the halt of the TSM server was to delete the tape device and re-create it. Takes under one minute and doesn't require downtime for TSM. Thanks, Joe
