sounds bad. I can go to Tivoli.com and use the knowledge base to look that
message up. My gut instinct says to check what is "running" at the time of
install. Microsoft will tell you that 3rd party programs run

savevg ist part of aix and documented in the os

Message 1401 is usually a summary message. Were there any detail messages
preceding it indicating the actual problem?

I am installing TSM NT client 3.7.2.0 to NT4.0 SP5 for customer today.
During installation, there are a few problems:
1) During installation, there are two prompts of "Severe: The service
cannot be installed due to an unknown error".
2) I uninstall TSM client, and reboot machine. Reinstal
We have a TSM 3.7 NT SAN libary master with many libary clients around.
When all devices are in use all the other libary clients get
"ANR1401W Mount request denied" and the scheduled job fail.
To avoid this - is it so than we must have the same number of devices
in the library as the number of li
