since fgb is so cool, he let me debug on his back. we found a couple of non-obvious problems on an ich9r laptop with a segate momentus drive. if you're dual-booting plan 9 with vista, it's a good idea to avoid using a fat16 partition because vista will create a type 0xe (fat16lba) partition, which
