Hm. That looks definitively odd. It looks as if fontspec can't detect that the smcp feature is there. Actually there is even a bug report about this https://github.com/latex3/fontspec/issues/441 But as I'm not on mac I can't make tests and suggest a correction (the fix suggested in the issue is a bit fishy, as it uses a number which can change). -- Ulrike Fischer http://www.troubleshooting-tex.de/
