Almost all files. I did attach the texlive texmf-dist to miktex
before the miktex main tree (and recreated then the xetex format).
Such a tree is always before the main tree.

I also compiled the xdv in TL14 and then created only the pdf with
the xdvipdfmx from miktex.

So imho only the map files and the cfg could interfere and perhaps a
small number of local files - and I think I checked all this.

[XeTeX] Scale=MatchLowercase error in XeTeX

2014-06-25 Thread Tine Wilde
After installing the new MacTex 2014 with TeXlive 2014 and updating TeXshop to
3.36.2 everything worked just fine, until updating with TeX live utility - then
things go wrong.
The error-message says:

LaTeX error: “kernel/misused-fp”
A floating point with value `4.30999755859375’ was misused.
See the LaTeX3 documentation for further information

I posted the problem to the LinkedIn-TeX users group and they found out that by
removing Scale=MatchLowercase it should work - and it did. Only, now I cannot
scale my fonts anymore …

I waited a few days for updates, but until now - apparently - the bug has not
yet been fixed.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks! Tine

The bug has already been reported. I see in another thread that the new
version of fonspec is already on CTAN so that hopefully it will soon be in
TeX Live.

Try again. Fontspec 2.4a is available as of this morning via TeX Live Utility.
It fixes that error for me.

Dear Elliott,

I updated after your posting, but unfortunately it failed again (giving the
same error message).
Just now I did another update via TeX live utility - and yes: everything works
fine again.
Many thanks!

Best, Tine
