It's all there in the log about what's going on.

Condition 'VersionNT>=v6.0 AND NOT VersionNT64 AND UserLanguageID <> 1034
AND UserLanguageID <> 1046 AND UserLanguageID <> 2070' evaluates to false.

2015-03-11 Thread Mrugesh Patel
Hello,

In Burn, all string are localized and work fine excluding
“ConfirmCancelMessage”. This string display when click on cancel button in burn.
I can not find this in Theme.xml. I already applied localization in Theme.wxl
file.

May be I am wrong in some where. Can you please help me?

Thanks in advance.

So, I need to localize DisplayName in MSIProperty in Chain. You have any
Idea.

Thanks,

Hello Mrugesh ,

You can create a new .wxl file ( project in Visual Studio's Solution
Explorer and select Add | New Item | WiXLocalization File With WiX -->
localization files (.wxl) )
for example : for english : en-us.wxl

http://schemas.microsoft.com/wix/2006/localization»>
A Software

Install

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11250597/creating-localized-wix-3-6-bootstrappers

There are several things going on here:

   1.

If you use multiple Cultures, you can't use TargetPath in something
outside MSBuild that expects a single filename. As you found, TargetPath
is
a list of the localized files that were built. However, you can use
TargetPath if you qualify the .msi package's output language:
   2.

If you want to create one bootstrapper that can install either/both
en-US and fr-FR, you'll need to list each .msi package separately in its
   own MsiPackage element.
   3.

If you want to create two bootstrappers, one en-US and one fr-FR, you'll
need to invoke the bootstrapper .wixproj twice, once for each language.
Bootstrappers don't support the Cultures "trick" -- it's problematic to
produce two outputs from a single invocation of MSBuild (witness the
   TargetPath problem).

If you're using WixStandardBootstrapperApplication, it automatically tries
to localize the UI based on the user UI language, falling back to the
system UI language, and finally falling back to English. It looks for
localized strings in directories named after the LCID, so you'd have
payloads like this:

Unfortunately, WixStandardBootstrapperApplication strings are currently
available only for en-US. That's why an fr-FR bootstrapper shows UI in
English. You'd need to localize the WiX source file HyperlinkTheme.wxl or
RtfTheme.wxl (depending on which theme you use). Both of these files are in
src\ext\BalExtension\wixstdba\Resources.

Then :BootstrapperApplicationRef

Re: [WiX-users] Burn MsiPackage DisplayName property doesnotlocalized

2015-03-17 Thread Mrugesh Patel
Hello,

Thanks Phill.

I use DisplayInternalUI="yes" in my MsiPackage. So, all of msi progress
message are display in MSI and all are localized in msi but the DisplayName
are display on Burn Progress bar status. See my MsiPackage below.

So, I want to localized it. I tried it as !(loc.PerformingActionOnCMS) but
at localized language it not work. it still display English only. My Burn
all text are localized excluding DisplayName.

Thanks,

The progress messages which are displayed in Burn are provided by the MSI
package and reflect whether it has been localized. Each msi package needs
to be built for a specific culture. I set the 'culture' property in the MSI
projects properties, which causes MSBuild to batch build each localized msi
package. Originally I created transforms and 'embedded' the transforms in a
single msi, including only one msi in the burn chain. I then discovered
that this approach is not supported when using Burn. So now I include each
localized msi in my chain, as detailed here
<http://windows-installer-xml-wix-toolset.687559.n2.nabble.com/Re-burn-bootstrapper-access-lang-as-a-property-or-variab-le-td7599256.html#a7599259>
, and I find that it works reliably with the progress messages localized. I
do not use a UI in the MSI, as I find the approach of implementing the UI in
Burn to be easier to manage.

2015-04-20 Thread Mrugesh Patel
For both of translate string, find string in "\src\ext\UIExtension\wixlib"
location and add localized string in your localized file.

The volume [2] is currently unavailable. Please
select another.

see this line in "WixUI_en-us.wxl" file.

Note: Get source code of Wix Toolset first and find it.
