Every so often it just locks up solid and doesn't move data until it's power cycled. I'll never buy anything from them again. Ethernet autosensing in general seems pretty dicy, regardless of the brands involved, though. -Original Message- From: Nick Palmer [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, July 17, 2001 10:12 AM To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: RE: Problem connecting Netgear stuff is sometimes reported to have certain...difficulties...with autosensing/negotiation (what speed, am I half/full duplex etc.), especially switches - I'm not surprised the 3COM cured it; still, if all it's doing is talking to a cable modem, 10Mbps shouldn't be a bottleneck. VNC for NetWare
I realize that rconsole can run over IP for NetWare 5. However, for NetWare 4 and older I don't think it provides this functionality. Is there a VNC server piece being worked on for NetWare 4? If so, where? Otherwise, is it possible to run a java engine on NetWare 4 and run the java VNC server piece on top of that? Then I just need to know where to find a java engine for NetWare 4. Thanks! I've had this happen on a Windows 98 SE machine, particularly after it crashes. Mel L. I just traded a couple of emails with Josh Bogart about his problem with VNC install from on-console on a Win2K server. It turns out Floyd's method from "Can I install VNC via Terminal Services?" was THE answer. Since this will show up in a different thread than the one Floyd Russell was responding to, I am repeating his instructions for doing it this way. I'm also going to try snapshotting a clean install of VNC on TS at some point and see what the entire set of registry changes is when taking various routes through the setup process... > -Original Message- > From: Floyd Russell [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: 26 April 2002 15:56 > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: Can I install VNC via Terminal Services? > > This is such a neat problem.
