[vdr] why I can't watch programe with xineliboutput-1.0.9-CVS in vdr-1.7.1

2009-02-05 Thread LinHai

What I use:
VDR 1.7.1 with
 - vdr-1.7.1_extensions.diff
 - vdr-1.7.1-ext_h264.diff
 - vdr-1.7.1-s2api-ext64.patch

I can see the OSD in xineliboutput, but not the movie.
Switching to other channes does not work.

I am using vdr 1.7.1 and xineliboutput 1.0.9-CVS.

I see a lot of error messages in my syslog:

vdr: [2293] [xine..put] Detected video size 720x480

vdr-1.7.4 works fine with all my devices - but vomp isn't compatible
with it yet for replaying its recordings and also the rotor plugin
(which I use to move the dish and scan transponders) also won't
compile at the moment (I didn't search for any updates, anyone know if
it has been re-written for S2API or even if it is still being
maintained?) so I will stick with 1.7.0 multiproto for now and wait
for 1.7.4 / S2API to mature and become more widely supported with
plugins etc.

vdr-1.7.0 and the S2API patch doesn't work with DVB-T at all here, so
I guess there's a bug in the patch there somewhere that affects
reception of UK transmitters (perhaps handling of QAM 16 modulation?)

My point exactly -
from INSTALL:

keybindings to xine-ui for supporting my plugin's remote functionality. I
use
the following commands for patching:

  patch -d. -p0 < /soft/src/VDR/PLUGINS/src/xine/patches/xine-lib.patch

I've wondered the same thing myself. I really like that skin. Along
with the new support for hdtv and so on, it would be nice if the osd
finally got a nice overhaul. VDR would be unstoppable! :)

Did you see the pictures from XBMC patched for vdr? This is great!
There is only the problem that XBMC doesn't support vdpau :( .

Nope, but no interest in using Xbox for that either. But would gladly
use that Reel skin with VDR!

Nowbody talked about using a xbox for that task. Xbmc
runs just fine on my VDR. The XBMC developers even
talk about to drop support for the xbox.
