[vdr] [ANNOUNCE] vdr-epgsearch-0.9.18

2006-10-02 Thread Mike Constabel
Hello,

Christian has released vdr-epgsearch-0.9.18.

You can download the latest release at

http://people.freenet.de/cwieninger/html/vdr-epg-search__english_.html

*** HISTORY ***
2006-10-01: Version 0.9.18
new:
- IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE READ THIS!: epgsearch expects it's conf files now in a
separate configuration directory 'epgsearch' and not in the general plugin
configuration directory as with previous versions! Please create this
directory in your plugins configuration directory and move all
epgsearch-files to it before running this version. Like this:

  mkdir /etc/vdr/plugins/epgsearch

  mv /etc/vdr/plugins/epgsearch*.* /etc/vdr/plugins/epgsearch

  mv /etc/vdr/plugins/.epgsearch* /etc/vdr/plugins/epgsearch

This is only important if you don't already use epgsearchs '--config' or

  '-c' parameter.

- new 'Favorites menu' besides 'Now' and 'Next': This menu can show a list of

all your favorite broadcasts for the next 24h. To enable it activate 'Show

favorites menu' in the setup. To let epgsearch know what your favorites are

create/edit some searches and enable 'Use in favorites menu'.

- new setup option for timer conflict check: 'After each timer

programming'. This performs a conflict check after each manual timer

programming and - if the new/modified timer is involved in a conflict - pops

up an OSD message about it.

- new email notifications about search timer updates or timer

conflicts with a customizable mail content. Please refer to the MANUAL

section 'Email notification' for further details.

- epgsearch has now a set of man pages. A very BIG thanks to Mike Constabel

([EMAIL PROTECTED]) who did the complete job of rewriting/correcting and

[vdr] Re: vdr-1.4.3 + softdevice no video out!

2006-10-02 Thread Paul ZHU
Hello, I checked with /var/log/messages, it said something like this:

-
[EMAIL PROTECTED] zhuhx]# cat /video/channels.conf
16 - JCTV:12581:h:S146.0E:25600:165:100:0:0:16:0:0:0
17 - TBN:12581:h:S146.0E:25600:166:104:0:0:17:0:0:0
[EMAIL PROTECTED] zhuhx]# tail /var/log/messages

Oct 2 23:00:03 pc1 vdr: [5454] frontend 0 timed out while tuning to
channel 1, tp 112581
Oct 2 23:01:06 pc1 vdr: [5454] frontend 0 timed out while tuning to
channel 1, tp 112581
---

so it looks like not a softdevice problem, the frontend didn't lock.

my question is why it try "tp 112581",not "tp 12581", because
from /video/channel.conf, it gives "12581".

please help on this!

Thanks
Paul ZHU

Nothing unusual, VDR just encodes the polarization internally that way.
10 is horizontally, 20 is vertically.

[vdr] vdrsync - no audio file?

When I run vdrsync on a file captured under my analog card, I get no audio
file - only the video file "vdrsync.mpv"

I get these errors:
