vchkpwthe surroundings:
 redhat7.0 + qmail-1.0.3 + vpopmail-4.9.10 + ucspi-tcp-0.88 +
daemontools-0.70.

the files related look like below:
the file /var/qmail/control/me:
mail.mydomain.net

the file /var/qmail/control/locals:
localhost
mail.mydomain.net

the file /var/qmail/control/rcpthosts:

mail.mydomain.net
mydomain.net

the file /var/qmail/control/virtualdomains:
mydomain.net:mydomain.net
testdomain.net:testdomain.net

the file /var/qmail/control/defaultdomain:

the file /var/qmail/user/assign:

127.0.0.:allow,RELAYCLIENT=''
129.0.0.:allow,RELAYCLIENT=''

nothing for /var/qmail/control/plusdomain;
(the user vpopmail and group vchkpw have been created before installing
vpopmail)

the file /service/qmail-pop3d/run:
env - PATH="/var/qmail/bin:/usr/local/bin" \
tcpserver -H -R 0 pop-3 \
/var/qmail/bin/qmail-popup mydomain.net \

I can correctly send and receive email with the users of mydomain.net,
which is my default domain, for instance, [EMAIL PROTECTED] but I can't
receive email with my second virtual domain testdomain.net from some
workstation, although I can successfully send email to the user with the
domain testdomain.net. I use the format of address [EMAIL PROTECTED]
to send and receive email.
what's problem with my configuration or my operation on how to receive
email with a second virtual domain ?
your any help will be appreciated greatly.

Remove ALL testdomain entries from the files and use vadddomain
again.
If it's not working then, post the above data again.
(the rcpthost entry for sure is missing but vadddomain takes care of
that. If it won't, there's a bug in it but I don't think that's the
case)

 Gabriel

Fw: Pop server waits forever...

2001-09-23 Thread Ali Ertürk TÜRKER

I've posted the letter below but there was no response. Alexus had the same
problem (vpomail 4.9.10 takes 100% CPU) and he says:

"somehow i was able to fix problem w/ 4.9.10.. it seems to workin fine now
to be honest i dont know what was wrong last time 'cause i recompile it with
same options and i didn't change anything else and it seems to work fine
now"

Unfortunately I am still having the problem. Should I recompile it hundred
times and expect it to work?

I installed vpopmail with the same configuration on a Redhat 7.1. But
exactly the same happens. When
the username and password are correct CPU load becomes ~100% and nothing
happens. Why ??? What's wrong with it???
Anybody knows what to do???

Thanks for your interest
AET

Mail not being delivered to vpop directories

2001-09-23 Thread Micah Abrams

I setup qmail/vpop
and everything was working fine.  The machine was rebooted however and now
email is not being delivered to the /home/vpopmail/domains directory but rather
to the users /home/user/Maildir directory.  Can someone please explain to
me how this happened and how to fix  it.

Thanks

What does ps ax say?

What is in the /var/qmail/control/* files?
