Or go to System Preferences, Security and Privacy, Allow apps downloaded from:, and select Anywhere. Then do the installation and then change the Alllow apps downloaded from setting back to your setting before the installation. OO crashes on opening file
OpenOffice 4.1.5 on a 2010 MacBook Pro running OSX El Capitan 10.11.6 crashes, usually on about the 4th or 5th file that I open. It could even be the previous file closed. Once OO opens again, it works just fine for about 4 or 5 files and then crashes again. I tried deleting the preference file in ~/library/preferences. Should I also delete the entire openoffice folder in ~/library/application support? Below is a copy of the text from the beginning of the crash report.
