Why do you need a new version OpenOffice?
I suggest you do not upgrade your OpenOffice if you do not have a good
reason.
A new furniture cause new problems.
Which may even cost a new house.

The new 4.1.7

2019-09-24 Thread Odd Martin Hesjadalen
After upgrading my Open Office to 4.1.7 I am not able to open previous
manuscripts and databases. I only get the info that I need Java to open
them, but I do have the latest version of Java. So that can´t be the
problem? Can you help me? I really do need my old manuscripts in my work.

To keep old software running can be a high risk.

High risks can cause problems which costs you a new house :-)

Just my 5¢ :-)

No. Updating the software does not cause loss of files you've created.

You will be able to both read and edit files created with prior versions of
the software in the new software.
