My openoffice.org 3.1 has stopped saving my documents.
How do I fix my version of 3.1 OpenOffice.org because I am in College and really need it to work properly so that I can continue taking notes. Especially this week, since we are doubling up on a class I am in. Thanks for your help.

Thanks > for your help. If you are using Windows, try starting TaskManager (Ctrl Shift Esc), and kill all soffice processes shown on TM's tabs. update failure
When I try to update through open office writer ot open office there's an error ( Error reading data from the Internet. Server error message: .) When I go to your site to download https://www.openoffice.org/download/ to download version 4.1.5 it downloads a part file of 101.968kb and a application file of 0 kb. If I try to open the part file it fails and says (Unidentified codec:VLC could not identify the audio or video codec) and when I try the application file it says this app cant run on your computer.To find a version check with software publisher. Advise bug fix. Shows in downloads as open office x86 en us. I have a windows 8 home 64 bit. I believe this was the same version I updated from 4.1.2 to 4.1.3 ? I was able to update to 4.1.5 directly through your site. Hope there's no virus. Now I can't use the adjust table column in the open office writer but the open office calc does allow me to adjust the columns ? Advise resolution. Do I need to keep the other versions in my downloads 4.1.3 and 4.1.4 ? Can they be deleted without a problem?
