Re: old fogey needs help-lol

George,

I'm also an old fogey, and a bit shy of unfamiliar programs and their
complexities (and unwilling to spend $$s recklessly).

I use Dragon Dictate, and love it. It's easy to install, easy to get
working enough to be encouraging, and then worth spending the little
bits of extra time to discover it's many finer points.

I use it on a MacBook Pro (getting a bit old now) with OpenOffice.

Being a senior citizen I have trouble typing. I would like to install voice

nothing posted since 2011. I am using windows and downloaded OO4.1.1. I run win
10 and it has Cortana. Since I am computer limited, speak plain with links and
detailed instructions. I sure hope you can help me. Dragon is kind of expensive
and I don't know if it would work anyway, Thanks: George M.

This is beginning to look like a reunion of old fogeys, but I thought,
George, that I'd point out that the English-language edition of *Wikipeida*
offers a list of speech-recognition software :
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_speech_recognition_software. I've
never used any of these products, so I can't recommend any of them
