Re: open office

2014-06-29 Thread mt

Jack,

Not sure what your reason was for writing to this list, but your
message below doesn't sound like a request for help with a real problem.

Applications and computers do not "improve" or "update" without
you, the user in command, deciding they need it.

If you're happy with your current versions of AOO, operating
system and computer hardware, you are free to just stick with
what you have and ignore any "Update available" suggestion.
What's the point of blaming others for your own decisions?

Then of course, if you have a specific problem with AOO, which
you cannot solve with the built-in Help system, most people on
this list will be happy to help.

To me, this mailing list is a much better option than any
"online user forums", where one has to dig through millions of
posts hoping to find suitable solutions.

So if you want to make the most of this mailing list, how about
you post one (or more) specific questions that relate to your
specific issues?

Let us know how we can help.

téléchargement défectueux (defective download) open off 4 1 0

2014-06-29 Thread Jean-Marie Champagne
Hello,

I just tried to download Open office 4.1.0 on my Apple Mac mini (OS X 10.9.3 /
Intel core i5  2.3 GHz  /  2 Go 1333 MHz DDR3 ) ;

but when i try to run the app, I get this message :

Impossible d’ouvrir « OpenOffice.app », car cette app provient d’un développeur
non identifié.

Vos préférences de sécurité ne permettent que l’installation d’apps du Mac App
Store et de développeurs identifiés.

Safari a téléchargé ce fichier aujourd’hui à 11:13 à partir de sourceforge.net.

Can you help me please ?

Thank you.

I had this problem.
You go to security in Preferences and allow OO to be opened.
first try to open it aagain so it is in the system.

The simple way is usually right.
Learn to live peacefully with minor problems, including all your software.
If you can not make your work done, please be specific.

Yes, it is possible.
OpenOffice has programming ability and can do automation.
The grammar of the programming language is similar to BASIC.

Hello

I had that problem, and at last I could mend it uninstalling openoffice,
erasing the folder openoffice in the user profile (which is not deleted
when you uninstall openoffice) and then installing again
