Hi.

I have a Calc spreadsheet that contain about 400 email addresses. They are

How can I change the special formatting and make them all plain text?
Nothing I've tried works.

Thanks.

You might try using Paste Special, i.e.,
1. Create a new sheet in the same spreadsheet file
2. On the page containing the email addresses select the block of cells
containing the addresses and press Ctrl+C.
3. Then go to the new page and press Shift+Ctrl+V (or Click Edit >
Paste Special...). This brings up the Paste Special dialog box. Under
Select, check Text, Numbers, and Date&Time, and uncheck all other
choices. Under Options nothing should be checked; under Operations only
None should be dotted, and under Shift Cells only Don't Shift should be
dotted. Click OK.

If this does what you want, you can replace step 3 with
3'. Press Shift+Ctrl+V (or Click Edit > Paste Special...). This brings
up the Paste Special dialog box. Under Select, check Text, Numbers, and
Date&Time, and uncheck all other choices. Under Options nothing should
be checked; under Operations only None should be dotted, and under Shift
Cells only Don't Shift should be dotted. Click OK. In other words, you
can Paste Special back into the original cells, thus converting them to
the desired format.

Does Qpro allow you to save your spreadsheet as a .wb2 file? If it does
check Openoffice and see if allows you to open .wb2 files. I use
LibreOffice and it will open a wb2 file. Another choice would be save
your spreadsheet as a .csv file then use OO to open it.

Hope this helps.

please give more info. what do 'registered documents' mean? how is it
impossible to open them (by double clicking, dragging, through the open
dialogue etc.)? what message does openoffice give to inform you that opening is
impossible? is anything opened after all (e.g. a mess of symbols, or strings of
squares, or nothing at all)? please be more specific. as of now, nothing is
clear.

Ctrl+u will underline a selection in pretty much every program I know of.
So select the number and press Ctrl+u

If you're using Calc and mean to put a bottom border on the cell containing
the number rather than underlining the number itself then do the
following...
- select the cell
- pick "Format | Cells..." from the menu
- click the "Borders" tab
- set the attributes for the underline from the options displayed

That depends on where you are! Are you in a text (Writer) document,
in a table in a text document, or perhaps in a spreadsheet?

In a spreadsheet:
o Select the relevant cell.
o Go to Format | Cells... | Borders (or right-click | Format Cells...
| Borders).
o Under Line arrangement | User-defined, click at the bottom to
indicate that you want the border only at the bottom of the cell.

o Under Line | Style, select your preferred line style and thickness.

Alternatively, you can click the down-arrow next to the Borders icon
in the Formatting toolbar and select the icon for bottom border
only. This will give you the line but no option to select its
style. In addition, at Format | Cells... | Font Effects |
Underlining you can select various styles of underlining. Or you can
use the Underline icon in the Formatting toolbar. But note that
underlining underlines only the value in the relevant cell, whereas a
border extends the fill width of the cell - which I'd guess is what you want.

Underlining is also available in a text document, of course. In a
table in a text document, underlining of the value is available, but
again you can alternatively apply a bottom border to a entire cell.

I trust this helps.

Typo in your EUL

Hi,
I noticed a typo in your EUL. I don't know if you care, but I thought I'd
let you know just in case.

In the "COOKIES" section, you have a sentence that reads:

"Although marketing company manages the information generated from the
Site, controls how that data may and may not be used."

Thanks for the great software!

Sincerely,

There is no product key for OpenOffice, if you downloaded it from
www.openoffice.org. You must have got it from somewhere else. Did you
by chance pay for it? It should be a free download.

It should not do that.

Download and install OpenOffice from the official site and you won't
encounter such problems. OpenOffice from this site, the actual
publisher/maintainer of the product, is free and doesn't have any
license/activation features in it.
https://www.openoffice.org/

If you did get it from the official site then... I'm stumped.

I searched the Apache License for the word "cookies" and did not find it.

Did you download your software from the official site www.openoffice.org, where
it is free or did you download it from some other site?

Howdy, I do not use a mac; however, the .rtf is a MS priority format.
Are you running Windows something on your Mac? If so, have you tried
opening Open Office under the Windows application then search / open
your document?

Is it possible this document was saved as .doc (example) then renamed
via an Explorer type program? As you can tell, I am a Windows user.

Sorry, I could not be more helpful . . .

Philippe, I am not sure if someone responded to your request yet.

If I were you, I would uninstall the version of OpenOffice, scan my
entire system for virus, Trojan, spywear and other unwanted programs
that interfere with your system.

Next, I would go to the OpenOffice home page
(http://www.openoffice.org/) - download OpenOffice as this is the
original program and does not contain extra programs, requests for
product code, request for product key . . .
