My answer (too late to help you much, but...) is to avoid passwords like the plague unless you have untrustworthy users on your computer (or for Internet links, etc). For passwords, I suggest 2 methods. 1. Write down all passwords and lock in a safe physical box. 2. Do not write down your password in any place. Use only one or very few passwords for all accounts.
