I did download from Mozilla.org and the tar ball has execute permissions when I list it. That was silly to not check the tar ball. I will unpack again and check it. FC13 yum problem -- GPG
I could use some help. I updated to FC13 from FC11 using a new disc I added to system. System now crashes and locks up when it goes into suspend state. not responsive to keyboard or front panel of computer without hard reset. When I boot FC11 all is still fine. I tried to run update assuming this was a problem in the distro but Yum dies because of GPG signatures for some rpmfusion packages. I am trying to find data on how to get the GPG data for the rpmfusion repository. I tried yum man pages and repo man pages. How the heck do you get gpg data for a repository. I could just edit the yum.config to remove the repo but that would leave some packages I wanted hanging and some of them may be effecting the suspend problem. -- Tony Foster email = tony_fos...@surewest.net Remember Ignorance can be fixed Stupid is forever -- users mailing list users@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe or change subscription options: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/users Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines

FC13 suspend hangs in 2.6.34.7-61.fc13.x86_64
HW - intel motherboard with E5300 CPU 4GB memory 35 Gb available on root disc system suspend and hibernate worked fine in FC11 and works fine in FC13 with kernel 2.6.33.3-85.fc13.x86_64 However system hangs with kernel 2.6.34.7-61.fc13.x86_64 when transitioning into suspend. I scanned my email archive for any mention of this problem. Has anyone else had a problem with 2.6.34.7-61.fc13.x86_64 and suspend. Any advice on how to fix it? -- Tony Foster tflinuxm...@surewest.net "Any sufficiently advanced technology is virtually indistinguishable from magic." (Arthur C. fc 11 evolution Error while storing folder inbox
"Error while storing folder inbox Summary and folder mismatch even after a sync" I am getting an error in Evolution mail this is in FC11 but I thought I would ask if anyone has seen it or their is a way around it. Looks like I need to rebuild the database but I do not see a tool for that. tf -- Tony Foster email = tony_fos...@surewest.net Remember Ignorance can be fixed Stupid is forever -- users mailing list users@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe or change subscription options: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/users Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines
Iphone failure to charge on FC14
Just recently when I connect my Iphone to my linux box to charge I get a message on the Iphone "Charging is not supported with this accessory" I have connected both my Iphone and my wife's to various usb ports on the off chance one of the port has a bad connector. I have connected thumb drives and a USB portable hard drive to the unit and both work fine. So probably not the basic hardware. I have tried a cold boot on the Linux box. I connect the Iphones to my microsloth laptop and they work fine. I tried to reboot the Iphone and connecting it again and get the same message. This looks like a bug in the USB power negotiation process when attaching an Iphone. Anyone seen this before? Re: Iphone failure to charge on FC14
The Iphone charged just fine a month ago. I have not used my computer to charge sinse then. The computer mother board is only a year old and and it supports 6 USB ports. I am only plugging in one item. Also as mentioned it powers a USB external drive just fine. My 6 year Laptop will charge the phone so I am more inclined to believe this is a USB driver issue. A lot of the USB protocol is buried in the driver. tf On Fri, 2011-10-14 at 14:35 -0400, Tom Horsley wrote: > On Fri, 14 Oct 2011 10:42:25 -0700 > Tony Foster wrote: > > > This looks like a bug in the USB power negotiation process when > > attaching an Iphone. > > Not all USB ports support high current devices, hackery to > do that is a recent innovation, maybe your computer just > can't do it?
