I could have used a VM from the start, but was hoping to avoid the
overhead. That's what containers are meant to provide. I would really
prefer it to be unprivileged.

It's odd that Fedora doesn't seem to support this. I'll have to dig
deeper. Maybe it's just there under another name.

I'm seeing the same behavior as the OP in Gnome, on F25 upgraded from F22,
on a Dell XPS13. The secondary display does not properly hide its content.
It's inaccessible to the mouse or keyboard until I type my password, but I
can see what's on it without having to login.

I found this:

https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/question/98848/privacy-f25-screen-saver-lock-multi-monitor-fail/

which suggests the same thing happens in MATE when using the blank
screensaver, and that the maintainer is aware; but I can't find anything
suggesting that it's been reported for Gnome. Has anyone else found
anything? If not I'll report it.

Thanks,
Matt

error on the Fedora Account System

2017-01-29 Thread Ranjan Maitra
Hi,

I have ACL on the FAS for osmo as well as libgringotts.

However, for both I get that my Request is unauthorized. Specifically, for
osmo, this is what I get when I try to import an update:

$ fedpkg import ~/rpmbuild/SRPMS/osmo-0.2.14-9.fc25.src.rpm
Removing no longer used file: osmo-0.2.10-aplay.patch
Removing no longer used file: osmo-0.2.10-configure.patch
Removing no longer used file: osmo-0.2.10-fix-version-string.patch
Could not execute import_srpm: Request is unauthorized.

I am taking over a package from another maintainer so are there some other
permisssions that I also need? A quick search online gave me irrelevant answers
(nothing to do with Fedora).

Many thanks,
Ranjan

smplayer comes from rpmfusion. The current version supplied by them is
smplayer-16.11.0-2.

Apparently you've downloaded and installed from smplayer.sourceforge.net. So,
not sure
why you'd be asking here instead of going to their support forum at
http://forum.smplayer.info/

If you go over there and ask you should probably supply the error message, if
any, you're
getting. Certainly you've installed libdvdcss.

I have:
libdvdcss2-1.4.0-1.x86_64
libdvdcss2-devel-1.4.0-1.x86_64

Are these what everyone else has?

Hello Diederik,
it seems there are only two Linux RTL8814AU users, so far.

Morris, when you catch some time, would you mind to run a couple iperf tests
with DWA-192,
to see real network throughput results.

I can't run any at the moment because Fedora is refusing to actually use
the device at all.

I have also just upgraded to F25 and nothing has changed.

The last time I used this device was on 08/10/2016 and it was using the
ATH9K driver. The main reason I upgraded to this USB device was that I
upgraded my router to a faster version, and I found that unlike the
DWA182 I didn't have to compile my own driver, the kernel had inbuilt
support for the DWA192.

It is possible that I have managed to Blacklist the device in some way,
not by the conventional Blacklist.conf, and I have forgotten how so I
can't find where I've done it to reverse it.

Also, having never done it before, I also

Did you do a kinit and get a kerberos ticket?
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Infrastructure/Kerberos

Since the flag day (announced a number of times on devel-announce):
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/ReleaseEngineering/FlagDay2016

You will need to use kinit and get a kerberos ticket to upload new
sources or start official builds.

Thanks very much!

I see, but your advice helped but there is a koji error re: ssl.

$ koji build --scratch f25 ~/rpmbuild/SRPMS/osmo-0.2.14-9.fc25.src.rpm
SSLError: [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed
(_ssl.c:661)

I don't understand where this comes from. I do have kerberos tickets issued
till tomorrow (as per klist).

Thanks again!

Best wishes,
