[us...@httpd] Apache/2.2.13 complains Session Cache is not configured [hint: SSLSessionCache]

2010-07-19 Thread joydeep

Dear list,

I have found a strange problem and also searched google but till no
solution worked for me. I hope I get some direction here.

This is a newly installed opensuse 11.2 box. Having apache

``
Server version: Apache/2.2.13 (Linux/SUSE)
Server built:   Apr 13 2010 16:28:17

and php

If I start/restart apache , the web-server does not come and the
/var/log/apache2/error_log shows

[us...@httpd] apache problem after replacing hard disk

2010-08-14 Thread joydeep

Hello list,

I have found a strange problem in a server after replacing hard disk from
raid1 array. This is a opensuse 11.2 server. Two 500GB HDD ae there in raid
array. /dev/sda has been replaced due to hardware problem. The new disk has
been added into the array successfully. Everything is normal except apache.
sometimes apache stops working though the instance is running and can be
seen from "ps -e" but only restart of apache makes it back. I have flipped
through the apache error log and found the following. Could anyone suggest
what is going wrong after replacing the disk ?

[users@httpd] a complex .htaccess redirect question

2012-09-17 Thread joydeep
Hello list,

How can I append .html in-between a link ?

For example http://www.mydomain.com/en/page?artId=1234 should redirected to

http://www.mydomain.com/en/page.html?artId=1234

page1?artId=1234 needs to be redirected as page1.html?artId=1234

How can I achieve this through .htaccesss ?

I have already tested with

```
RewriteRule ^page$ $1.html [L]
``
But no success !!!
Thanks,
Based on your suggestion, I have ttried with ? as per the the links. So now the
rule is
RewriteRule ^page(?)$ $1.html [L]
But the link still appears with out .html  like
http://www.mydomain.com/en/page?artId=1234
I don't know if MultiViews is the exact solution for what I like to do.
My original link is http://www.mydomain.com/en/page?artId=1234
and I like to redirect it at
http://www.mydomain.com/en/page.html?artId=1234
page?artId=1234 needs to be redirected as page.html?artId=1234
[users@httpd] .htaccess {QUERY_STRING} and issue with append a value
2013-05-24 Thread Joydeep Bakshi
Hello list,
Greetings !!
I am using {QUERY_STRING} to append a value to a particular URL.
The actual url is
http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?id=7&artId=7572&doi=10.5414/ALP33211
and it has to become
http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?id=7&artId=7572&doi=10.5414/ALP33211&L=5
The &L=5 has to be appended
Hence I have made the .htaccess rule as
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^Id=7572&doi=10.5414/ALP33211$
RewriteRule ^/ALP33211$  /ALP33211&L=1 [R=301]
But it is not working at all.  Have I done any misconfiguration ?
The mod_rewrite is already available and working.
Kindly suggest.
Thanks
Thanks but without the leading slash it still fails to provide the redirection.
Now I have
RewriteRule ^ALP33211$  /ALP33211&L=1 [R=301]
It was level 5 and now I have set level 9.
From log it seems that the pattern is blindly applied to every link rather than
matching the query_string
applying pattern '^ALP33211$' to uri 'index.php'
applying pattern '^ALP33211$' to uri 'uploads/repository/02/1276_cn74_1001.gif'
applying pattern '^ALP33211$' to uri 'fileadmin/templates/images/btnAddCart.png'
……..
….
where te ruleset I have at .htaccess is
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^Id=7572&doi=10.5414/ALP33211$
RewriteRule ^/ALP33211$  /ALP33211&L=1 [R=301]
The actual url is
http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?id=7&artId=7572&doi=10.5414/ALP33211
and it has to become
http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?id=7&artId=7572&doi=10.5414/ALP33211&L=5
The &L=5 has to be appended
Thanks
Re: [users@httpd] .htaccess {QUERY_STRING} and issue with append a value
2013-05-27 Thread Joydeep Bakshi
Hello Tom,
sorry for the wrong implementation of the rules.
This time I have done it as per requirement
actual url
http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?id=7&artId=7572&doi=10.5414/ALP33211
it should be
http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?id=7&artId=7572&doi=10.5414/ALP33211&L=5
The &L=5 has to be appended
.htaccess
=
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING}  ^id=7&artId=7572&doi=10.5414/ALP33211$
RewriteRule index.php index.php?L=5 [QSA,R=301]
Log
=
RewriteCond:
input='http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?id=7&artId=7572&doi=10.5414/ALP33211'
pattern='highest-credit' [NC] => not-matched
RewriteCond: input='' pattern='^id=7&artId=7572&doi=10.5414/ALP33211$' =>
not-matched
When the require patter need to be compared the input becomes null !!!
Could you kindly explain ?
Thanks
[users@httpd] Fwd: apache hosting unknown sites !!!
2014-04-16 Thread Joydeep Bakshi
Dear list,
I have found a strange issue in a newly configured opensuse 13.1 server.
This is a dedicated root server where ssh is running on different port than
default and ssh root login is disabled.
I have configured apache and also few vhosts which are running well. I have
also installed varnish for caching. All are running without any issue.
Suddenly I find from apache access.log that some unknown sites are hosted
from this server.
tv-house.ru , world-hdtv.ru ... etc I am clue less.
I have stopped apache still those sites are active, uninstall varnish,
shutdown the server, still those sites are active.
After rebooting the server and activating apache , again the apache log
shows; request to those domain actually coming to this server. I blocked
the domain through iptables. Now the access log shows a lot of 408
Hello respondents,
Thanks to all of you for your responses. I'm explaining the points which
you have asked.
1. The requests are not available at log because I have blocked the .ru
domains at firewall level. Let me disable the firewall to generate the logs
for you
95.139.226.205 - - [17/Apr/2014:07:26:39 +0200] "-" 408 - "-" "-"
109.188.125.110 - - [17/Apr/2014:07:27:03 +0200] "GET /Uizz9n HTTP/1.1" 301
- "http://www.tv-house.ru/detail/200/5347"; "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3;
WOW64; Trident/7.0; ASU2JS; rv:11.0) like Gecko"
109.188.125.110 - - [17/Apr/2014:07:27:04 +0200] "GET
109.191.88.164 - - [17/Apr/2014:07:27:13 +0200] "GET
WOW64; Trident/7.0; ASU2JS; rv:11.0) like Gecko"
Though the ping commands shows a different IP than this server
ping www.tv-house.ru
PING www.tv-house.ru (90.156.201.67) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from fe.shared.masterhost.ru (90.156.201.67): icmp_seq=1 ttl=56
2. I am not hosting any torrent. Though you can see the request
109.191.88.164 - - [17/Apr/2014:07:27:13 +0200] "GET
/index.php?id=16&no_cache=1 HTTP/1.1" 200 9009 "-" "libtorrent/0.16.10.0"
3. the sites are even live after shutting down the server.
4. Even after blocking the requested unknown domains I see a lot of
following at access log
[users@httpd] error logging of huge amount vhosts
2014-04-29 Thread Joydeep Bakshi
Dear list,
I have already configured the combined log for vhosts, so that only one
file is required to write the access log of all vhosts. Unfortunately %v is
not available for error log.
Is maintaining separate error log for every vhost is fine with the server
performance ? or there is a way to collect the host prepended at the error
log ?
BTW: the modified access.log is not compatible with some web stat reader.
Any fix for this ?
Thanks
