[us...@httpd] Problem installing apache

2009-05-03 Thread Sue Tavidian

Forgive me for repeating this question.  I am new and I did not know that emai
rolled off after some time.  I'll catch it this time, I promise. Here is the
question:

When I loaded/installed apache 2.2.11-win32-x86-no-msi, I get the error -
"cannot load c:/php/php5apache2_2.dll into server, the specified module could
not be found"
Does anyone know what next step I should take?
Thanks.

sorry for the late response.  I installed;

Win32 Binary without crypto (no mod_ssl) (MSI Installer):
apache_2.2.11-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi

Just to make sure, from what URL did you download that Apache file ?

I just sounds unlikely that on the official Apache website, the standard
version of Apache for Windows would have automatically PHP configured in it.

Re: [us...@httpd] cannot load c:/php/php5apache2_2.dll into server

2009-05-03 Thread Sue Tavidian
I commented out PHP from conf file and did not get the original error anymore.
But, then I got the error PHPIniDir not in server config, so I commented that
out of conf.  Then I got the error that SSLRandomSeed not in server config file
so I commented that out of conf file - so finally my conf file had the
following commented out:
#SSLRandomSeed startup builtin
#SSLRandomSeed connect builtin
#
#PHPIniDir "c:/php"

However, then when I tried to start Apache I got this error:

only 1 usage of each socket address is normally permitted:  make_sock: could
not bind to address 0.0.9.:80 no listening sockets avalable. shutting down.
uable to open logs.

Re: [us...@httpd] cannot load c:/php/php5apache2_2.dll into server

2009-05-03 Thread André Warnier

Sue,

it sounds very much like a situation where you previously had some other
Apache installed on your system, and then you installed this new Apache
over it. It probably still has the configuration files from the older
Apache, and that is messing everything up.
I believe a new Apache installation will not overwrite the configuration
files of the old one, it will put the new ones alongside the old.
That would explain also why you still have some SSL-related directives
somewhere, although you downloaded and installed the version without SSL.

Can you de-install this Apache properly, then check that whatever
directory you installed it in is really empty and that you don't have
another older version still there (de-install it also then), and only
then try to re-install your MSI file ?

If you do that, I suggest nevertheless that you properly de-install
Apache first, including any leftovers from a previous version.

Otherwise you risk running into the same kind of issues.

[us...@httpd] Apache not accepting php

I am trying to install and configure Apache, mySQL, and PHP on a Windows
Vista PC. I have installed all of the programs, but when I test a simple
php test, I am only seeing the html. I have modified httpd.conf in the
/conf folder to include:
  #
AddType application/x-compress .Z
AddType application/x-gzip .gz .tgz
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
#BEGIN PHP INSTALLER EDITS - REMOVE ONLY ON UNINSTALL
PHPIniDir "C:/PHP/"
LoadModule php5_module "C:/PHP/php5apache2_2.dll"
#
#END PHP INSTALLER EDITS - REMOVE ONLY ON UNINSTALL

Any suggestions would be apprecitated.

[us...@httpd] Apache2-Proxy with many Intranet Webservers

2009-05-03 Thread Michelle Konzack
Hello,

for around 6 weeks the neighbour appartement of my office in Kehl burned
down and killed my office and with it my 100 Mbit upstream. Now I need
a provisory solution with four 2.5 Mbit lines.

And here is the point where the problem begins:

Some years ago I had a config where I installed Apache2 on my router
(Firewall and NAT) and it passesd the HTTP requests to my webservers in
the LAN. Unfortunately I have lost the config. I have setup my private
and (bind9) to resolv the domains and hosts intern. And I
have (for now) following Servers:

192.168.100.69 samba3.private.tamay-dogan.net # Intranet Web/Mail

192.168.100.193 router.tamay-dogan.net # runs Apache2-Proxy
   # Courier-IMAP-Proxy

192.168.100.194 dns1.tamay-dogan.net
192.168.100.195 dns1.tamay-dogan.net

192.168.100.201www.tamay-dogan.net
   *.can4linux.org
   *.flexray4linux.org

192.168.100.204 *.debian.tamay-dogan.net # anything which is
   # not releases,

   # any Debian releases

webmail.tdwave.net

192.168.100.221 www.tdwave.net
 pootle.tdwave.net
vod.tdwave.net

192.168.100.222 myspace.tdwave.net

which mean, my Apache2-Proxy is on and I have to forward the
webtraffic to any of the give IP's except the DNS.

Because I am behind a NATed network I gaved each IP a port corresponding
to the IP like

192.168.100.221->192.168.100.221:40221

and the Listen Directives are setup correctly. The VirtualHost on the
 looks:

[ '/Webspace1/APACHE_available/www.tdwave.net' ]

ServerAdmin linux4miche...@tamay-dogan.net
ServerName www.tdwave.net
ProxyPass / http://192.168.100.221:40221/
ProxyPassReverse/ http://192.168.100.221:40221/
http://192.168.100.221:40221/*>
Order deny,allow
Allow from all

I can not connect from the Internet to the Server but from my LAN I can
access

without any problems.

Can someone help me to get it running please.

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening

The thing is, the vhost names do not match. I type in "beta" and the

[us...@httpd] Apache 2.2.10 LDAPS to Active Directory

2009-05-03 Thread Robert Gonzales
I am in the process of configuring a windows system with apache 2.2.10
installed on it. I have a few questions before we get started.

1. Is "LoadModule authnz_ldap_module modules/mod_authnz_ldap.so"
the same as mod_auth_ldap?

2. Will mod_authnz_ldap.so work on windows server 2003 with apache
2.2.10 installed?

3. Do I need to specify DN in the AuthLDAPURL and does it need to
match the require group directive?

I have installed a client certificate from the certificate server on the
windows server that is hosting Apache. I used the certificate enrollment
web page from windows certificate server.

This an error that I see in the log file.
