[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 888909] [NEW] COMPOSITE and XINERAMA/PANORAMIX
Public bug reported: From [http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/commit/?id=84a14fab8f930ef1855444ae4e9e3e14ee008328] (and the discussion on [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xinerama] and [http://gentoohaven.com/2010/04/13/xinerama-composite/])I would guess that COMPOSITE and XINERAMA/PANORAMIX no longer conflict. However, I'm using XINERAMA on oneiric/11.10 on a Radeon HD 5450 (fglrx enabled) and 'xdpyinfo' does _not_ report the COMPOSITE extension. As a consequence desktop effects in KDE do not work and the KDE system settings also report that 'The needed x-extensions (XComposite and XDamage) are not available'. ** Affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/888909 Title: COMPOSITE and XINERAMA/PANORAMIX To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/888909/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Public bug reported: I'm using a Samsung NC20 since a couple of years now. It has never been easy with X11 but with Ubuntu 13.10/saucy it has become an export issue to get this netbook running. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 986585] [NEW] eGalax touchscreen quirks with 12.04/precise
Public bug reported: Every touch makes the cursor move first registers a click. Because of this, mouse cursor is moved, but all text get selected. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 391195] Re: [VX800] no 1280x800 resolution support
Dear Bartosz, well, I'm not aware of a second monitor with this netbook (must be very hidden :O)). But - apart from the built-in TFT - there is a VGA connector. Maybe this is what you see in the log. Is there a way to disable it in xorg.conf? The problem is that the stock openchrome just does not work. I think the resolution is not supported because of the (II) CHROME(0): Not using mode "1280x800" (no mode of this name) line in the (first) Xorg.1.log. In addition, I have not been able to use the openchrome so far... With openchrome from svn, there *is* a test picture. But as I said, this is not a fully functional X11...
