[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 681637] [NEW] X segfaults with newly installed 2.6.35-23 kernel

2010-11-25 Thread Chris Beaven
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

I upgraded to 2.6.35-23 this week, and when trying to boot into this
kernel I get a flashing black screen for a few seconds, then dropped to
a text login. I can still use (and have been using) the 2.6.35-22 fine,
thankfully.

I'm attaching the Xorg.0.log file generated with an example boot on the
-23 kernel.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 681637] Re: X segfaults with newly installed 2.6.35-23 kernel

2010-12-20 Thread Chris Beaven
It still wasn't fixed in -24 so I decided to do a full fglrx purge and
after reinstalling that, everything's happy again.

** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu)
   Status: New => Invalid
