Thanks for the extra feedback. I've communicated this bug to NVIDIA, and they confirm it is due to a recent change in the driver, and I expect we'll see a fix in an updated driver. ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu Quantal) Status: In Progress => Triaged ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu Quantal) Assignee: Chris Halse Rogers (raof) => (unassigned) ** Also affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu Precise) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu Precise) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu Precise) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu Precise) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu Quantal) Status: Triaged => Won't Fix ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu Precise) Status: Triaged => Won't Fix ** Changed in: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu Quantal) Status: Confirmed => In Progress ** Changed in: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu Precise) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu Precise) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: unity Status: Confirmed => Invalid ** Changed in: nvidia-drivers-ubuntu Status: Confirmed => In Progress ** Changed in: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu Quantal) Assignee: Alberto Milone (albertomilone) => (unassigned) ** Changed in: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu Precise) Assignee: (unassigned) => Canonical X.org (canonical-x) ** Changed in: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu Quantal) Assignee: (unassigned) => Canonical X.org (canonical-x) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1057000 Title: [Ubuntu 12.04.1/12.10] nVidia drivers 304.51 prevent autohidden Unity launcher from revealing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nvidia-drivers-ubuntu/+bug/1057000/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1066245] [NEW] Graphics some times runs very slow
Public bug reported: Hi, recently I noticed that the graphical performances of ubuntu have degraded in certain use cases. I play quite often with the game hedgewars and I never had troubles in running it full screen. Since few weeks ago, if I play the game full screen now it runs very sluggishly. This behavior appeared after some package upgrade happened around 1 month ago, I think. If I play the game in windowed mode, it plays fine. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 223774] Re: [HARDY] NoDDC option doesn't work for trident cyberblade/i1 resulting in system lockup
I believe this problem still exists in 10.04 Lucid. My attempts to install 10.04 appear to fail as described in this bug. My computer is a Toshiba 7200CT, and the specs say that the video is a "Trident CyberBlade e-4 128-bit graphics accelerator". In xorg.conf it lists "BoardName Cyber 9540", which seems to be the correct driver. (The NoDCC work around does not help.) I don't see a way to "tag the bug" to indicate that it affects Lucid. Would it improve the chances of fixing this bug it I try to install the Natty version of Ubuntu? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-trident in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/223774 Title: [HARDY] NoDDC option doesn't work for trident cyberblade/i1 resulting in system lockup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-release-notes/+bug/223774/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1066262] [NEW] Catalyst overscan settings not working after reboot
Public bug reported: I am using ubuntu 12.10 beta 2 with teh latest updates and have activated the FGLRX-driver (updates version). @ M. van der Heide sure you assign it to ubiquity (the graphical) install _until_ somebody triages to be a problem in another package. There are hundreds of software packages that get you the graphical installer, and we do need to start narrowing it down. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1043413] [NEW] The scrollwheel of my mouse wont work correctly anymore
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Description:Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS Release:12.04 I currently have connected two different mouse' and keyboards. One is a Logitech combo, connected with one usb dongle (Mouse: Logitech MX620, Keyboard: Pro2800 Cordelless Desktop) Second one is a cable connected usb mouse [could not find designation] and a ps2 connected logitech access deluxe There was no problems with that combos at all, until now. My Scrolwheel of the mx620 works only sometimes anymore (most time, not) Every key of that mouse works fine. Only the wheel not. I dont know where it comes from. If I try to scroll with the other, usb connected mouse, that works too. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1040072] Re: too big background, crashes lightdm to CL.
I don't believe this is related at all to lightdm, more likely your graphics driver. I'm going to move it there, but mark it Incomplete. Can you please add the version of the xserver you are running and also attach your full /var/log/Xorg.0.log? Also if this is resolved, please mark it Invalid. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 966744] Re: [i965] Resume from suspend leaves me with black screen or a screen of the desktop before it suspended. Compiz hung in intel_update_renderbuffers() from intel_prepare_r
I found an easy way to get this update. This might be obvioius to experienced Ubuntu users, but it wasn't obvious to me. In System Tools/Administration/Update Manager, under Settings/Updates, check Pre-release Updates. Then close the window and click Check. You will see a lot of proposed updates. Go to the top and uncheck the heading Propsed Updates, then scroll to the bottom and just check the Intel driver update. Choose Install Updates, then go back to Settings/Update and uncheck Pre-release Updates, close the window, and reboot. This will get you just the Intel driver update. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/966744 Title: [i965] Resume from suspend leaves me with black screen or a screen of the desktop before it suspended.
