[ubuntu-uk] Gcompris: erase
Hello, I'm sure a lot of you have done this. I'm running gcompris on ubuntu LTS. For the moment i just want to use the simple bit: erase. How can i change the images that are revealed? The gcompris website says it can be changed in the folde ~/gcompris/erase I found the set of images in usr/share/gcompris/erase so all i did was remove the images i wanted and added the images i did want (running sudo nautilus). But the original images still show up and the new ones do not. So i must have gotten the wrong folder? -- Sent from my Nokia N900 Please do not send me word documents plain txt or pdf are prefered. -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/
[ubuntu-uk] Ada Lovelace Event
Aloha wondering how many Ubuntu women are on here and wondering if you'd like to come along to http://www.bcs.org/content/ConWebDoc/41634 [1] I'll be there might be nice to meet more Ubuntu women face to face as when it comes to event meet ups there does seem to be a lack of presence. If you're going let us and if want to meet up before hand so we can get an idea of numbers.. Re: [ubuntu-uk] Ada Lovelace Event
No offence to anyone here with my views, but I simply do not agree with men and women's groups, because a) generally women's groups are fine and men's aren't (considered sexist) and b) I'm pretty sure it can divide a community. -- -Original Message- From: la...@lczajkowski.com Sender: ubuntu-uk-boun...@lists.ubuntu.com Date: Fri, 30 Sep 2011 14:59:58 To: Reply-To: UK Ubuntu Talk Subject: [ubuntu-uk] Ada Lovelace Event -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/ -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/

It's a chance to celebrate women in computing, a chance to encourage more women to take part, get to gether and netwwork. There is nothing to stop anyone else coming along. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won’t either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or left, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness.
