[Ubuntu-phone] Porting project ;)

2014-03-16 Thread scu.santiago
Hi! My name is Martin, I'm from Argentina. I am very excited with the
commitment of the Ubuntu's community to make this incredible OS reach
those technology highlights. I want to become a member of phone's team.
Currently, I have the project to port Ubuntu for my mobile device ,
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (T210). I can programming in C/C++, java, but
I need help of developers with experience in porting. If someone's
interested, I will be extremely grateful.

I found in opensource.samsung.com , a package for my tab. The zip has
two folders, one for the kernel, and the other one called 'platform'.
The kernel folder has modules for kernel, drivers for the marvell
hardware (T210 tab is manufactured on a Marvell PXA986), the graphics
and security. Platform folder comes with almost the same, except that
provides source code for the galcore driver (driver for GC1000 GPU), and
driver for the modem. The folder also has a build script (build.sh).
Should I compile the drivers for my tab, and build an Ubuntu image with
them?
