[Ubuntu-phone] Nexus 7 3G [2012] problem with ubuntu touch
Hi all, I am having problems after installing ubuntu touch on my Nexus 7 3G I tried using the command to install ubuntu touch sudo pablet-flash cdimage-touch -d grouper -b But after installing, it doesn’t boot. It's stuck at the Google splash screen. . I can go to the recovery menu. I tried to flash packages manually with no joy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Re: [Ubuntu-phone] Nexus 7 3G [2012] problem with ubuntu touch
Hi Sergio, The codename is tilapia. I have been able to use ubuntu-touch on my Nexus 7 3G before the flipped images and it worked. Ever since the flipped images became default, it stopped working. How can I get full logs from this? I can try if you tell me the steps. Regards, Sayantan Regards, *Sayantan Das* -- Use Linux. [Ubuntu-phone] Channel 13 on Ubuntu Touch wifi
Hi all, Was wondering why channel13 is not available for ubuntu touch. It doesnt scan any wifi network on channel 13. root@ubuntu-phablet:/# iwconfig wlan0 channel 13 Error for wireless request "Set Frequency" (8B04) : SET failed on device wlan0 ; Invalid argument. I have tested two routers- the phone is unable to pick signal from either of them. If I change the channel to any other than 13, it connects. I am testing using Nexus 4. [Ubuntu-phone] auto update not working (14.04)
Hi all, I am currently running Ubuntu Touch using MultiRom on my Nexus 4. I installed the 14.04 (r10) build . The install went fine, and I can access everything. However, I am not able to update the to latest builds. It keeps saying no updates available when I try to update via the system settings update option. Any ideas how to get that working? [Ubuntu-phone] Ubuntu Touch does not connect to saved wifi on reboot
Hi , I am currently running UT Trusty (r28 ) on my nexus 4. I have noticed that after rebooting the phone, wifi does not connect automatically. The wifi details are saved as far as I can understand, as every time I connect to the same wifi, it adds a suffix 1,2 ,3 and so on to the wifi connection name . Really impressive swiftness in bug fixing !! I had submitted the dmesg for the WiFi issue just yesterday !! [Ubuntu-phone] Incoming call pop up too small and too high!
Hi, I have been using Ubuntu phone for the last few weeks. All looks good but I feel the incoming call pop up is way too small and too high. If I try to use my Nexus 4 one with one hand, I can never accept the call. It's out of my thumb's reach. I use my left hand to accept the call btw, but I am a right handed guy. Why is this design? Re: [Ubuntu-phone] Custom system-image server for Nexus 5
Hi, I installed Ubuntu Touch on Nexus 5 via Multiboot yesterday. Its working. I installed image 218. The system boots up nicely and I am able to make calls as well. Incoming calls are not working. I cannot hear anyone over the phone but internet, wifi , 2G and 3G are working. Regards, *Sayantan Das* -- Use Linux. Hi all, Just curious to know if any plans of changing the current incoming call screen has been made after the last feedback. As far as I am aware, Ubuntu Touch is just 1 month away from release and the incoming call notification screen does not seem to have received any attention. Regards, *Sayantan Das* -- Use Linux. [Ubuntu-phone] Testing image #275 on Google Nexus 5
Hi all, Not sure if this may help you guys. I finally had the time to sit down and test Ubuntu Touch on my Nexus 5. Firstly , I installed it on Nexus 5 using MultiRom app . Here are the issues which I encountered. 1. On boot, the device shows wrong time and date 7:18 AM , April 28, 1970 when the actual time is 1:44AM, April 4, 2014 - sets to the right time only after you lock the screen and unlock it after a few mins. 2. wrong battery info - 74% in Android 37% in Ubuntu 3. Battery drains very fast - 30% reduction in 1 hour 4. wifi & 3G wrong signal 4 bars in Android - 1 bar in Ubuntu 5. wrong location detection in weather app on 3G- detects a location 1000 kms away 6. pressing cancel on weather app changes the font colour to white after that, nothing much can be done 7. when phone is on a slight tilt(uneven surface e.g. bed) keyboard opens up in landscape mode even if app is in portrait 8. sound is low and jittery 9. incoming call can be received but gets disconnected after some time 10. no more than 1 call can be heard - have to restart for getting the audio back 11. special codes not accepted like checking balance on Vodafone via *111# from the keypad 12. timezone is set to UTC , does not update automatically via network 13. file manager cannot open pictures 14. opening clock app - says retrieving current location- but never finishes 15. selecting city in clock does not switch to its corresponding timezone 16. Bluetooth not recognized 17. Music app plays mp3s but sound is very jittery 18. scrolling is not smooth - suffers greatly when 8+ apps are open Regards, Sayantan Das -- Use Linux.
