Re: [Ubuntu-phone] meizu pro 5

2016-04-26 Thread Nicholas Thurel
The Meizu Pro 5 exists in 64GB version running Android. Since the only
difference seems to be RAM and Storage, I believe it would be fairly easy
to push Ubuntu onto the 64 version (source:

Re: [Ubuntu-phone] shiping more ubuntu touch phoes

2016-08-26 Thread Nicholas Thurel
As far as I know, there's a port for the OnePlus One available in the
forums.
It could be nice to give it a try knowing the ease to flash that device. As
soon as I can change my phone, I'll flash my OPO with UT.

On the other hand, looks like there are no more Ubuntu phones about
(previous links say out of stock).

It might need a bit more demonstration to catch the OEMs' eyes. We can't
really blame the phone makes if there's no visible market.

Re: [Ubuntu-phone] cam app && selfi stick

2018-08-21 Thread Nicholas Thurel
Hi,

On some devices, the volume button takes a photo when in camera app. I
think it's a setting in the application.

This might be the way to go.

Re: [Ubuntu-phone] E4.5 Touch-screen problems

2018-08-28 Thread Nicholas Thurel
Hi,

Just wondering... Did you try with a Bluetooth mouse connected?
If the issue is HW with the touchscreen, maybe a mouse would help bypass
this. A BT mouse works fine on Android, not sure on UT.

Some smartphones had/have issues when charging or with low network (e.g.
helicopter issue with HTC One S).

N.T.
