No need to scream...
Can it even read DVDs?
Maybe its just a CDRom player!

Upstream development for Rhythmbox has halted.

That's disappointing. Is it being replaced by something else in gnome, or is
it just the developers losing interest? Again, I'd be willing to look at it,
but I don't have anywhere near the experience to start maintaining it on my
own.

Re: CD burning: Audio, mixed, and MP3 CDs

2009-04-12 Thread Caroline Ford
I suspect gnome haven't got that far. Looks like only one main
developer who has lost interest. Some talk on the thread about the
underlying database and that it needs moving to something better such
as sqlite.

This discussion is on a rhythmbox list. I don't know if main gnome
lists have picked up on.

To be honest the world isn't short of floss audio players and rbox has
major problems with CD ripping. Gnome will gave to find a suitable
replacement.

I've never had any problems with RB ripping CDs (and lets ignore that Amarok
can't even play them).

Maybe Exaile and Banshee need to be discussed at UDS?
