Συζήτηση και επίλυση σχετικ ά με τα αρχεία της ΕΡΤ (ert-archives.gr)

Σας παραθέτω μήνυμα που μπορεί να τεθεί για συζήτηση και επίλυση
σχετικά με τα αρχεία της ΕΡΤ. Άνοιξα θέμα στο

Η ΕΡΤ δε φαίνεται να υποστηρίζει το Linux sto ert-archives.gr:

Υπάρχει κανείς που θέλει να αναλάβει να γράψει ένα ωραίο κείμενο για
να φτιάξουμε ένα petition, για υποστήριξη Linux/Unix συστημάτων, στο
http://www.petitiononline.com/create_petition.html ;

Τα σημεία που μπορείτε να τονίσετε είναι:
- Υπάρχει τρόπος υποστήριξης *μέσω flash*, για παράδειγμα στη Σερβία
το RTS (Ραδιο-Τηλεόραση Σερβίας http://www.rts.rs/ ) το χρησιμοποιεί
άμεσα (Σελίδα: http://tinyurl.com/lhzqgs Flash:
http://tinyurl.com/mxna25 )
- Υπάρχουν αρκετοί χρήστες που χρησιμοποιούν Mozilla Firefox, Opera
και άλλους browsers - γιατί να τους πιέσουν να χρησιμοποιούν άλλο
πρόγραμμα κι όχι αυτό της αρεσκείας τους;

Σημείωση: Μου μυρίζει θέμα που μπορεί να τεθεί στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση. Η
λύση υπάρχει, αλλά προφανώς αυτοί δε θέλουν να την εφαρμόσουν.

A late reply, but I think that I should at least document it. So, to those
interested, this was the outcome:

If anyone has done anything to "push" the matter forward in EU, I kindly
thank them.
The result was that at least the benefits and the "other side" of the story
was presented and heard. :)

P.S. We might have another problem in Greece though with the ERT ( national
Greek Radio-Television station www.ert.gr ) and their archiving website:
www.ert-archives.gr
Namely, they are using closed-source (windows media player) type of media
files for archiving the historic background, specifically a part of the
Greek culture (meaning theatrical plays, television, movies, etc.) and are
denying access to Linux users:
- "Δεν υποστηρίζονται λειτουργικά συστήματα Linux/Unix" (Translation: "We do
not support Linux/Unix operating systems"):

But that's another story, I'll get back to you in a separate thread as soon
