This bug is also affecting my installation. It seems that one common
factor is that all are fresh installs, or at least my was.

Sep 20 09:48:25 tckkeeper citadel: DB: PANIC: Invalid argument
Sep 20 09:48:25 tckkeeper citadel: bdb(): PANIC: Invalid argument

erro r, run database recovery
Sep 20 09:48:26 tckkeeper citadel: DB: not a restored transaction

That is what I am showing in /var/log/email.err log and on the WebCit I
am getting:

DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS"

Citadel Installation:
sudo apt-get install citadel-suite

I am not sure about the version as I didn't notated the package release
version but it should be the latest as the package it is installing
using the universe repo. This issue can be reproduced by installing
Citadel from the shell.

Is there any ETA on resolution or it would be recommendable to move a
different email server package?

2012-09-21 Thread wirelessbit
@ Jori Gel:

Uninstalling the package using either:

sudo apt-get remove citadel-suite
sudo apt-get purge citadel-suite

It leave some config files behind. You will have to use the command:

whereis citadel

To find the left overs, I had couple of config files left in /etc that I
had to go and delete manually in order to do a fresh install. Otherwise,
as you mention, it will use those config files and bypass the first step
in the configuration process that it is to collect pertinent
information.

[Bug 1040981] Re: Failed command: FLUSH CACHE EXT

2012-08-25 Thread wirelessbit
Ubuntu has follen several places in the DistroWatch.com this should be a
red flag for the Ubuntu community.

Hi Joseph. The advice provided to install http://kernel.ubuntu.com
/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.6-rc3-quantal/ doesn't seem to be a stable
release but a candidate release which would indicate it is in beta
release or perhaps in alpha release. Last time I intalled and RC my
system creashed.

Unless you can provided a stable kernel I will not install and RC in my
system to crash it again.

Thank you.

[Bug 713480] Re: Atheros AR5001: Wireless connection is not working any longer

2012-06-22 Thread wirelessbit
A patch has been released for this issue and fixed the Atheros being
disabled automatically. Along with the new pathc a new bug seeims to be
introduced. When I turn off the wireless using the hardware it doesn't
come back on when the hardware is turned back on. In order to get the
the wireless back on

rfkill unblock all

It seem that Canonical is not so worry about getting a good product any
more. With the lates releases of Ubuntu since 10.10 it seems the
operating system is getting worst and worst. So, here is a good question
for Canonical team: are you planning to drive everyone back to
Windows Libre Office is really bad and many of the app that run in
Linux are being ported to Windows, so what is the adventage that Linux
is bringing to the table I will pay the $80 to get a stable
operating system in stead of being deling with halfway done products.
Sow far Windows 7 has been proved being more productive than *Ubuntu.

Are getting any updates about this bug? I have installed Ubuntu latest

the bug for the Atheros chip set hasn't been fixed neither has been
assigned. Can some one provide me with an ETA for the bug fix? I am
understand it will not be a simple fix as they code probably has several
lines. I really like this distro but it seems I am being force to find
one that works with my wireless chip set.

If more information is needed please provide what it needs to be done to
get the info to the developers. Almost a year later and still not fix
for this bug, please update.
