[Bug 440158] Re: Please bump libhpricot-ruby to 0.8.1-1 from Debian testing (main)

2009-11-12 Thread vaku
As of today, this issue with Alexandria remains unfixed. Pertinent
information are given here:
http://rubyforge.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=27168&group_id=205&atid=863
. I can confirm that currently I'm unable to use Alexandria to search
for any book.

[Bug 415023] Re: brightness is broken on MSI WIND U100

2009-10-30 Thread vaku
Weird. I ran 9.10 Netbook Remix from flash drive on my U123. There was
no issue booting up, which gave me confidence. (In hindsight, I didn't
try to much around with the brightness.) So I decided to upgrade my
installation of 9.04 to 9.10 through network. Upon first boot, the
flickering happens with the brightness icon appearing and the brightness
jumping around. However, after 30-60 seconds, the brightness stabilizes.
I was able to reproduce the flickering by adjusting the brightness from
the power management setting. The flicker happens for 10-20 seconds this
time before stabilizing.

I did not change any setting from 9.04, nor did I disable KMS from boot.
